Johanna Draper Carlson has been a friend, critic, and supporter of mine for years– she and husband KC Carlson managed the programming at Baltimore for several years, and always supported the CBLDF, Katrina, and other comics projects Rich, Jamar, and I worked on, usually launching at the Baltimore show.It’s cool, and really appreciated to have her give her two cents– when I first heard Johanna’s name, it was in revered tones at the 2002 SPX– somebody said something like– “She can be harsh– but when she likes something, you know she’s honest, and right.”
