WW Chicago news from Ronn Sutton & Janet Hetherington
The dates for the Wizard World Chicago 2012 comic book convention are fast approaching (August 9-12 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL), and artist Ronn Sutton is ready with an original new art print of a feisty Space Girl battling hungry aliens. Ronn pencilled the art for the 11″ x 17″ print, which was inked by fellow artist Hilary Barta (who collaborated with Ronn on Elvira, Mistress of the Dark comic stories and a dynamic Fear Agent tale).

Pickup Process
As I mentioned last time, many of my project go through a variety of iterations, from start to finish. Revisions are a huge part of the illustration and design process, and virtually every assignment I get goes through many stages to get the end result.

Swamp Thing
DC Comics occasionally sends me copies of foreign editions of the Swamp Thing collections.
It’s always nice to see these, and to know our work is still getting out there in many, many languages.
This past Friday, UPS delivered two copies of this exquisitely designed Japanese edition of Alan’s, John’s, Rick’s, and my first collected Swamp Thing book.

Zombie. Kitty. Dirt Bed.
Zombie. Kitty. Sometimes, it’s all you can do to just get halfway out of bed… and then the cat curls up on your chest and purrs. Make a bed for this pair. 6 3/4″ x 10 1/2″, marker, pen and white-out correctional pen, a cat-lovin’ zombie, and a zombie cat that loves its zombie, and a comfy bed of dirt.
