I can see why you're such a hit on DevArt.

That's why I was curious if this guy here actually sells anything on ebay.

Never really had any faith in DA as a selling tool. I thought it was just a decent free online portfolio. But then they have that whole print selling function.

You should send a copy of your cartoon skull to your mom.

Uh, what?

She's seen it, she's seen all my work. The skull was one of two Rubber Halloween masks I designed for a mask sculptor. My mom liked the other one better...

That's pretty tight but the skull is better.

Do many people contact you from work after coming across your deviantart page or is it mostly telling potential clients about your portfolio/linking it from your site?

Hey thanks!

And yeah, DA is just a good, free online portfolio. I get more work through networking.

So, you did that epic piece of pie? I wasn't sure, but should have guessed because of the animated eyes that seem to follow you with criminal intent! It's really tight work with all kinds of depth. Can I ask you about the color process, and come to think of it, the drawing too? Are the colors Photoshop or some 'real' medium?

It was all prismacolor markers, and some white pelican for the highlights and the texture of the ice cream. on apiece of hot press illustration board. I think I did a photoshop lens flare or two after the image was scanned.

The skull was prismacolor markers and pencils on some recycled paper we scammed from some paper company.

I just got a wacom tablet a few months back but I haven't really done anything with it.

What's your problem? I've used tablets for over ten years.

I've never needed one. I can draw with the mouse. Why would it be a problem?
