We Should All Hang Out With A Grumpy Gnome: Ward’s Valley From Top Shelf In April

by Hannah Means Shannon

Top Shelf have a book coming out in April that seems pretty pitch-perfect for reacting to the difficult years of 2017 and now, potentially 2018 (I don’t want to jinx things, but there’s plenty of understandable grumpiness in the new year already…). Following a very grumpy gnome around his home valley may be just the tonic we need.

Ward’s Valley features Ward the grumpy gnome who very much wants to be left along. He lives in a beautiful forest, but when animals start turning up left and right, it makes him grumpy, and nervous. With humans and “muck-trolls” invading, he needs to get organized and defend his valley.
Bobby Curnow (Night of 1000 Wolves, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Brenda Hickey (My Little Pony) are the creators on this 128 page gem, that’s being published in full color softcover with French flaps.
