Mick Introduces The Dread Pirate Jiwe In A Clip From Tonight’s Legends Of Tomorrow

Mick Rory’s (Dominic Purcell) gift for narrative continues to shine in this clip from tonight’s episode of DC’S Legends of Tomorrow. While on the search for the Earth Totem, Mick, Ray (Brandon Routh), Nate (Nick Zano) and Amaya (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) infiltrate a pirate bar. Knowing something about criminals, Mick begins to spread some tall tales about their new “captain,” the Dread Pirate Jiwe. Apparently, she keeps the tongues of the men she kills and once ate a Kraken raw.
You have to appreciate this new side to Mick, revealed last week as Zari (Tala Ashe) discovered his erotic fantasy novel. Hopefully his hyping of the Dread Pirate Jiwe will lead to a productive meeting with Blackbeard and not a bar fight. Then again, it feels like it’s been a really long time since Mick caused a bar fight, doesn’t it?
Meanwhile, the totems get more play as their connection to Mallus (John Noble) will no doubt be explored. At least, I’m hoping that will be the case as he needs a little more fleshing out. I mean, I love Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), but it is past time the big bad be more than a whisper and Noble’s voice.
