Preview Rick Veitch’s The One Remastered And Re-Released By IDW

Remember when we were told that comics were growing up when Watchmen and The Dark Knight Returns hit the shelves back in the 80’s? Well, those of us alive and buying comics back then, anyway. Well, before DC brought out these groundbreaking works, Rick Veitch was producing comics with properly grown up themes. And, IDW have remastered one of these titles, The One, with the first issue hitting stores this Wednesday, the 28th of February.

Rick Veitch’s ground-breaking series has been called the last word on superheroes. It is a world-spanning, continent-crushing, over-the-top adventure story that brings the United States and Russia to the brink of annihilation… from both nuclear warheads and crazed superheroes-run-amok!

It’s a comic series that has stayed with me to this day and worthy of a new audience, which I do hope this new remastered and recoloured series will find. Here’s hoping our preview gets you interested. Definitely one of the books to read before you die.
