Lara Is Back And Bloodier Than Ever In Shadow Of The Tomb Raider

Lara Croft returns in the third installment of the successful 2013 reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise. From the trailer, it appears players can expect to raid Mayan Temples in the jungles of South America. Lara apparently didn’t check the weather report as she’s brought not one, but two ice picks to the hot jungle climate. Yet, these ice picks may come in handy when fighting dangerous cultists practicing human sacrifice.

The trailer also suggests that Lara may be shifting over to the dark side. The body count for video game characters is generally high. What happens when Lara has to pay for the blood she’s spilled? As a casual fan of the pre-reboot Lara Croft, I also appreciate that this Tomb Raider features a more mature, experienced Lara. If the developers do this right, we could have a very successful game that appeals to fans old and new.
