Netflix Releases Official Season 1 Recap Of Ozark, Set To Return Next Month

Last Summer, Netflix’s show Ozark rocked my world. The intensity and drama that reminded me much of Breaking Bad, was really enjoyable to watch. Created by Bill Dubuque, Ozark tells the story of Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman) who suddenly relocates from a Chicago suburb to a summer resort community in the Missouri Ozarks. He has a bunch of debt to pay off to a Mexican drug lord. Laura Linney plays his wife, Wendy. Trust me, there marital tension is nothing compared to how crazy this show gets.

Like all second seasons, I often worry whether or not the writers will be able to keep up that same level of intensity. While it doesn’t take too much for me to stay up late to watch more TV, I wonder just how binge-able this season will be. Season 2 of Ozark will be available to stream on August 31st.
