Dark Horse Unleashes The Mask Again In New Omnibus

by James Ferguson

Back in the early 1990s, Dark Horse Comics was getting their books adapted into feature films before it was cool with The Mask. Next year, the publisher is bringing The Mask Omnibus back into print with a new edition, collecting The Mask, The Mask Returns, and The Mask Strikes Back in full size for the first time. This is the original trilogy that inspired the film in 1994.

When a mystical mask of unknown origin and power is discovered and worn by the nerdy Stanley Ipkiss, it imbues him with limitless cartoon character invulnerability that takes, the police, the mafia, and the monstrous mob muscleman Walter on a colliding violent path of murderous mayhem, lunacy, and destruction! Equally adept with gun, knife, bat, bomb, pie, or bat-knife-gun-pie-bomb, a geek turned super-freak, The Mask cuts a crazed swath of cartoon mayhem!

I absolutely loved The Mask movie when I was a kid so I desperately need to read this comic. Look for the 2nd edition of The Mask Omnibus: Volume 1 on April 2nd, 2019.  It’s currently available for pre-order at your local comic shop or online at Amazon.
