MCM Birmingham: Take A Peek At Comic Village’s Artists Alley

by Olly MacNamee

The year is almost up but there’s still time to squeeze in one more big MCM/Reed Pop show before the Holiday season. MCM Birmingham, while not as prestigious a show as it’s London counterpart, is still a pretty impressive show, spanning Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November at Birmingham’s NEC.
Well while we won’t be getting anyone near as huge a legend as Frank Miller we’ll have our own selection of artists in the Comic Village, showing one again that Reed Pop are serious about developing the comic book side of this show.

As well as a selection of media guests including David Morrisey (The Walking Dead), Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica) and Splatton 2 producer Hisashi Nogami there will be the following comic book creates there too.

Phil Winslade (2000AD), Paul McCaffery (Anno Dracula) Cowgirl Em (The Beano and TV’s The Apprentice), Laura Howell (The Beano, Regular Show) and Greg Staples (2000ADas well as a healthy selection of indie comic book creators from far and wide.

Worth popping by, especially come Sunday afternoon, when some stores begin to offer up their wares at knockdown prices. Always a great place to pick up the odd present or two for the geek in your life. Or, for yourself.
