Stranski Model Kits Capture The Art Of Lorenzo Etherington Beautifully
by Olly MacNamee

Like so many of us geeks, I’m always on the lookout for my nest favourite toy, statue or collectible. If it’s based on a favourite character, comic, or the work of certain creators, then I’m usually all in. So, imagine my joy when I stumbled across these curios, based on a Kickstarter book by Lorenzo Etherington, one half of a comic-producing sibling partnership. Robin does the wring, Lorenzo supplies the art, and together they have created some of my now-teenage daughter’s favourite comics and graphic novels as she was growing up. Now that she’s older, she gets their drawing tutorial books, which are well-thumbed through ample use. I’m still amazed how they aren’t better known across the waters. Especially as they are responsible for Kickstarter’s most successful UK campaign ever.
Based on Lorenzo’s The Art of Stranski book and sculpted by Anna Schmelzer comes these delightful 1/24 scale model kits from Industry Mechanika featuring some of the amazing, bonkers, out-there characters that have spawned from the fertile mind of one of the UK’s most prominent (and energetic) illustrators.
As you may have noticed, there are four initial model kits, and here they are now. Available fro pre-order now by clicking here.
