Sara Takes A Visit To Ava’s Purgatory On Next Week’s Legends Of Tomorrow

by Erik Amaya

Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) took some time off to gather her thoughts when Sara (Caity Lotz) refused to back her play. But as this preview of next week’s Legends of Tomorrow reveals, that break has been interrupted by … well, something. We’re going to assume its Neron as the preview features a flash of the demon in his true form. No matter what attacked her, though, it will be up Sara to enter Ava’s personal purgatory and save her from what we’re going to assume is a fate worst than death. And considering purgatory looks like an Ikea, the afterlife must be a truly terrible place indeed.

Meanwhile, this week was so jammed-packed, it’s hard to believe it was only one hour. Between Jane Austen, Constantine (Matt Ryan) summoning Hank’s (Tom Wilson) ghost, Nate (Nick Zano) learning the real truth about his father, Ray (Brandon Routh) and Nora (Courtney Ford) finally getting together AND a Bollywood musical breaking out because Zari (Tala Ashe) wanted to be impulsive, the show covered a ton of ground in what has to be the most fun episode since the show returned from its long hiatus.

Also, it continues to reveal unexplored depths with Zari’s caution about starting something with Nate, Mona (Ramona Young) becoming more and more nuanced, and even the wonderful callback to Nate and Ray’s time as History Bros. The show’s confidence in itself continues to be so surprising that we’ll forgive the entirely too-modern Church subbing in for a Regency-era place of worship.

Legends of Tomorrow airs Mondays on The CW.
