Deep Roots And A Dark History: Preview Ghost Tree #1 From IDW

by Olly MacNamee

Even before it’s hit the shelves, Ghost Tree #1 has already sold out at the distributor level, so after reading this preview you may want to grab your copy quickly when it comes out this Wednesday April 24th. Written by Bobby Curnow with art by Simon Gane and colored by Ian Herring, this reads like a Japanese horror film transferred to the printed page. It’s evocative while being picturesque at the same time. Something tells me I may very well grab a copy myself this NCBD having taken this preview in.

Seeking a refuge from an unhappy life, Brandt returns to his ancestral home in Japan to find a haunted tree and the departed souls that are drawn to it, including his Grandfather. Brandt attempts to heal some of history’s wounds but will he be able to find any measure of peace for himself when someone special from his past returns?
