A Third Ant-Man Film Is On The Way With Director Peyton Reed Signed To Return

by Erik Amaya

Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) may have pulled off the biggest heist in history by time-traveling to get the Infinity Stones, but the story of Ant-Man continues.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed will be returning for a third, as-yet untitled Ant-Man feature. Rudd is also expected to return as Scott. Presumably, the rest of kooky Pym and Lang clans will also return. After all, there’s always more to say with Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer), Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), and Cassie Lang (Emma Fuhrmann).
Also, there’s always another story Luis (Michael Peña) can tell about his cousin.
Plot details are, of course, non-existent, but the film will reportedly go into production late next year for a 2022 release, which means the film will land within Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, Disney has two 2022 dates reserved for untitled Marvel movies: February 18, 2022 and July 29, 2022. Considering the earlier Ant-Man pictures released in July, we expect the film will follow the Black Panther sequel to the theaters that summer with the February slot still open for an unknown film.
