Harley Quinn Explains Herself In New Birds Of Prey Trailer

Birds Of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) comes to theaters in less than a month and Warner Bros. Pictures has released a new trailer in which Harley (Margot Robbie) explains herself. She and the Joker are splitsville and murderous Gotham criminals like Roman Sionis (Ewan McGregor) want her dead. So she teams up with Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco) and Detective Rene Montoya (Rosie Perez) to deal with Sionis — aka Black Mask — and get the emancipation they all long for.
And if you get a little bit of the vibe from the animated Harley Quinn series on DC Universe, that almost certainly has to be intentional as they’re both tackling the same subject. That said, this trailer offers a greater sense of the film’s tone and it looks like one we want to see.
Birds of Prey opens on February 7th.
