by James Ferguson

If you ever watched Fantasy Island and wanted more espionage, intrigue, sea monsters, and super villains, Dark Horse Comics has just the thing for you. The publisher has announced Spy Island, a new four-issue mini-series debuting in April 2020 from Chelsea Cain, Lia Miternique, Elise McCall, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Joe Caramagna.

Spy Island is blends Bermuda Triangle myths with TV shows like Tales of the Gold Monkey. It follows a kick-ass feminist super agent hero named Nor Freud as she gets into all kinds of adventures on a remote tropical island where anything can happen. You want krakens, ghost pirates, and dimensional portals? You got them. All this, plus a slew of guest starts that disembark from a cruise ship once a week.
Chelsea Cain says:

Both Spy Island and Mockingbird are about strong female protagonists who are good at their jobs and don’t suffer fools.

Spy Island #1, produced by The Ministry of Trouble, is set for release on April 1st, 2020.
