Norman Osborn Goes Green Again In ‘Amazing Spider-Man #850’

by James Ferguson

It was only a matter of time before Norman Osborn suited up as the Green Goblin again. After breaking free of the Carnage symbiote and regaining what little sanity he had left, we had to expect him to be flying around on a glider, throwing pumpkin bombs pretty soon. Marvel has revealed through ComicBook.com that we’ll see the Green Goblin again in the oversized Amazing Spider-Man #850 (#49).

Writer Nick Spencer is joined by artists Ryan Ottley, Humberto Ramos, and Mark Bagley for the main story with shorts from Tradd Moore, Kurt Busiek, Chris Bachalo, Aaron Kuder, and Saladin Ahmed. That’s a pretty stacked roster.
Executive Editor Nick Lowe says:

This is maybe the most action-packed and harrowing issue of Amazing Spider-Man ever! There are so many twists and turns and Spidey has never had his back up against a wall like this before.

While I’m excited for the next chapter in this never-ending battle between the wall-crawler and his greatest foe, there’s already a ton of stuff going on in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man between the Sin-Eater, Kindred, and whatever’s going on with Peter’s buddy with the crystal ball tech. I’m hoping that some of these loose plot threads will get tied up soon before we add even more insanity to Spidey’s life.
