On October 21st, Werewolf By Night #1 will hit stores from Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, Ben Jackendoff and Scot Eaton. The series tells the story of a young man named Jake in a small Arizona town. Jake is going to have to deal with a horrifying curse while protecting his friends and family from a mysterious corporation. As the adventure unfolds, he’ll have to contend with other dangers and obstacles, including a face-off with fan-favorite hero Red Wolf!

“I’m half-Hopi and half-Mexican, so we pulled a lot from my personal experience to implement that in our storytelling,” Taboo told Marvel host Ryan Penagos in a recent video interview. “The cool thing about this story is that although there’s a Native perspective to it, it’s not a Native story. This kid is dealing with becoming a werewolf and it’s inclusive to everyone and there’s bits and pieces for everyone to take away their own personal motivation.”

“[Scot Eaton] sees the vision, and Scot just applies it and takes it to the next level,” Taboo added when asked about his collaborator, superstar artist Scot Eaton. Check out the interview in the video above (including some new as-yet unrevealed artwork from the first issue) and pick up Werewolf By Night #1 on October 21st!
