The Hulk’s Dystopian Future Continues In ‘Maestro: War And Pax’

Did you think Peter David was finished with Maestro? No way. Marvel Comics has announced a follow up to Maestro, the mini-series penned by David and illustrated by German Peralta, telling the origin of the terrifying version of the Hulk in a dystopian future. Maestro: War and Pax, illustrated by Javier Pina begins in January 2021, digging into more secrets behind David’s landmark story, “Future Imperfect.”
Maestro: War and Pax picks up after the Hulk, now known as the Maestro, has deposed of Dystopia’s ancient ruler. Now he sets his sights even higher. He wants the entire planet to recognize him as their one true god. That’s easier said than done when the Maestro discovers that he’s not the only immortal left. If he really wants to dominate the planet, he’ll have to face the most powerful being in creation.
“I am thrilled that, twenty years after I created him, the Maestro still intrigues people so much that the first series garnered the sort of success that demanded a follow-up,” David said. “As long as folks want to keep reading about him, I’m happy to keep giving them stories.”
Maestro: War and Pax #1 is set for release in January 2021.
