Pop Kill, the latest mini-series from Paperfilms is racing towards its finale with a new Kickstarter campaign for the final two issues. Written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Dave Johnson, illustrated by Juan Santacruz, colored by Brian Reber, lettered by Sean Konot, and designed by John J. Hill, Pop Kill is an action packed series set in a world where two competing soda companies will stop at nothing to one-up each other, even hiring assassins, saboteurs, and espionage personnel to fight their never-ending war for fizzy supremacy.
Central to Pop Kill is Dina Delux, a scientist in the Fizz division at Popso Cola on the verge of creating a formula to make soda 50% fizzier. By keeping their soda carbonated longer than any other brand on the market, Popso Cola will put all its competition out of business.
Popso’s main rival, Fizz One Cola hears about this project and sends in Jon Pyle, an oversexed mercenary to take care of it. He just has to convince Dina to switch sides…or kill her. He ends up falling for her and decide on another option that leads to a target on their backs from both sides.
These new issues will feature standard covers by Dave Johnson and variant covers by Amanda Conner. Bill Sienkiewicz is supplying a variant for issue #3 and Adam Hughes is providing one for issue #4.
The Kickstarter campaign has already plowed through its funding goal with plenty of time remaining. It runs through December 24th, 2020. Rewards include digital and physical copies of the new issues as well as the first two.
