Killian Scott To Join Disney+’s ‘Secret Invasion’

by Erik Amaya

The Secret Invasion cast continues to grow.

Deadline reports Killian Scott is in talks to join the upcoming Disney+ series. Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn are already set to star as Nick Fury and Telos, respectively. The program will follow their attempts to uncover an invasion of shapeshifting Skrulls across all facets of Earth society. It is still unclear, though, if this is the reason Fury was seen assembling an armada at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home. Kingsley Ben-Adir is also set to appear in role most presume will be antagonistic. Additionally, Olivia Colman is said to be talks to play a role in the series, as is Emilia Clarke. And as both are known to play royalty, it is easy to imagine either actor playing the Skrull Empress, although it remains to be seen if that is the case.

The same can be said for Scott, whose part is, of course, under wraps. Marvel’s veil of secrecy is an important part of its mystique even as it comes across as a joke sometimes. But considering his resemblance to Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark in the photo accompanying Deadline’s article, it is possible he’ll be trying to pretend he’s the real Tony Stark That sort of thing is in play with Secret Invasion and one imagines a key way to make it fun is to change the identities of the characters who were replaced in the comic book version with unexpected MCU choices.

It is unclear when the series is scheduled to launch, but the ramping up of casting in recent weeks sure makes it feel like production will begin soon.
