Developer Rabbit & Bear Studios appeared at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase to present gameplay from their upcoming title, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Eiyuden Chronicle is the Kickstarted successor to the Suikoden games that were first popularized on the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 before vanishing during the HD era.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is done in the popularized HD-2D style, making it feel like both a shout out to the original Suikoden while being a new series as well. While this game was recently pushed back a year into 2023, the developer also announced a new title: Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. Rising will be a town-building RPG that will be set in the same world, covering the pre-war stories of several characters that will appear in the main story. They’ve also said that Rising will somehow offer some perks to players who link it with the main title.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will both be launching for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC in 2023 and 2022. They’ve also been confirmed to be Xbox Game Pass titles.
