Stanley “Artgerm” Lau Adds Talents To ‘Vampirella/Dracula: Unholy’ #2 Variant Cover Options

by Erik Amaya

To celebrate the continuing Vampirella/Dracula: Unholy series, Dynamite Entertainment announced Stanley “Artgerm” Lau has joined the ranks of talent contributing covers to the print run of January’s issue #2. The artist previously contributed covers to issues #2, #4, and #6 of the 2019 Vampirella relaunch.

The new series sees the Daughter of Drakulon traveling to Dracula’s castle to cheat fate and adjust to married life with Dracula’s heir. Even as the Dracula Virus continues to be held at bay, the newlyweds must make for Transylvania to discover more about themselves, each other, and the twisted history that has lead them to this point.

“We’ve kept Dracula off the board, from day one, because I’d planned to do this,” Priest said in a statement regarding the first issue. “One of my first requests to Dynamite — ‘No Drac for the first year, please.’ When we bring Dracula into our series, we need that to be an event. I realize how overused a claim it is but, trust me, you’re in for the trippiest love triangle/murder mystery in Dracula history, as well as an all-new vision for the classic character.”

Other artists line up for the issue include Shannon Maer, Rose Besch, Lucio Parrillo, and a cosplay cover.

Vampirella/Dracula: Unholy #2 is due out in January.
