Dramatic Labs Announces Story-Focused ‘Star Trek: Resurgence’ For Consoles And PC
by Sage Ashford
Dramatic Labs is a team made up of former TellTale developers, and they recently announced their first major project: Star Trek: Resurgence. The game promises to be a title similar to old TellTale games, an interactive narrative game, designed in the Unreal Engine and using their narrative/screenwriting engine Beanie. But despite any similarities to the old TellTale titles, the Resurgence homepage mentions the game will include things like shuttle piloting, phaser battles, scanning, and more. More on the game below:
“Star Trek: Resurgence is an interactive narrative video game that tells an original story set in the era shortly after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Stationed aboard the U.S.S. RESOLUTE, players will assume the role of two principal characters, First Officer Jara Rydek and Engineering Crewperson Carter Diaz, as they unravel a sinister mystery involving two alien civilizations on the brink of war. Throughout the game, players will immerse themselves in the Star Trek universe, interacting with new and returning characters through a variety of dialogue and action gameplay to determine the course of the story.”
Star Trek: Resurgence is meant to launch in the Spring for PlayStation and Xbox, and on the Epic Games Store.
