Dynamite To Offer 50¢ “Introductory” Reprints In April
by Erik Amaya
In April, Dynamite will try a new approach in growing comic book readership: reprints of key issues at an “introductory” price of 50¢. The four titles include The Boys #7, Herogasm #1, Army of Darkness vs. Reanimator #1, and Vampirella/Dracula: Unholy #1.
Each holds a special place in the history of their respective runs and Dynamite as a company. The Boys #7 was the first issue Dynamite published and featured the debut of Payback, the secondary hero team which will appear in The Boys television series later this year. Herogasm #1 is the first part of a raunchy Boys miniseries that the Amazon show is actually adapting into an episode. Army of Darkness vs. Reanimator #1 represents the company’s first comic book while Vampirella/Dracula: Unholy #1 highlights one of its most recent offerings.
“We’re always looking to bring in new readers to the Dynamite family, into the medium as a whole, and into the stores of our treasured retail partners,” Dynamite CEO and Publisher Nick Barrucci said in a statement. “As fans and collectors ourselves, we know how frustrating it can be to not have easy access to a key issue, or how great it is to find one of these incredible deals. We’re hoping these will be great additions to everyone’s hauls as well as stellar promotional tools for our retailer friends.”
Each of Dynamite’s Introductory Priced books will be available in April.
