‘Rocketman & Rocketgirl’ Return For A Special One-Shot In March

First appearing in Dynamite’s Project Superpowers, Rocketman & Rocketgirl are getting their own special issue this March.

As announced on Thursday, writer Jacob Edgar will take the helm alongside artist Jordi Perez. In the story, the superhero duo uncover a complex conspiracy after seemingly foiling a bank robbery. They soon discover Nazi agents are dedicated to stealing rocket technology for themselves. Will the scheme change the balance of power in 1940s New York and the world?

“Rocket Man and Rocket Girl gave me the perfect opportunity to write something that echoed the kind of comics I loved as a kid,” Edgar said in a statement. “A self-contained, action-packed superhero adventure story. At the same time, I also tried to fill the sandbox, as it were, with some characters and ideas that could potentially be played with again.”

Beyond writer the issue, Edgar also contributes a cover alongside Lesley “Leirix” Li and Giorgio Spalletta.

The Rocketman & Rocketgirl is scheduled for release in March 2023.
