Kill Shakespeare’s Standalone Tale ‘Juliet’ Arrives This Week
by Staff

The literature-inspired sensation Kill Shakespeare returns to comics this week with a standalone story featuring Juliet, and is being suggested as an entry point for new readers that will really delve into the “origin story” of one of Shakespeare’s most famous characters.
There are actually four other Kill Shakespeare books which you can also check out, but if you’re looking for somewhere to start, this sounds like the place.
Here’s the official description for issue #1 this week:
Juliet lives! The newest chapter of the award winning Kill Shakespeare series, flashes back to five-months after the death of Romeo, where Juliet is mourning yet another loved one — her mother. Now Juliet must discover who the murderer is, lest she become the next victim.
Juliet will also bring a new Kill Shakespeare artist on board, Corin Howell (Transformers, X-Files: Scully), joining writer Conor McCreery.
The general idea behind the Kill Shakespeare series is that it takes the Bard’s greatest heroes and pits them against his greatest villains to “end all tragedy” by finding, saving, or killing, a “wizard” by the name of William Shakespeare.
