Retrofit Splashes Out With A Full Spring Catalog Currently On Kickstarter
by Staff
Retrofit Comics, which publishes in conjunction with the retailer Big Planet Comics, is a press committed to high-quality publication of art comics, and making sure they get distributed into comic shops as well as maintaining a presence at comic shows. They’ve consistently been a high water mark for art comics in recent years, and are led by the award-winning creator Box Brown.
As is their tradition, they are currently running a campaign on Kickstarter to roll out their Spring catalogue of 6 new graphic novels and comics. Diverse and interesting, and created in a number of styles, these books will make a great addition to the comics world.
They are well on their way to achieving their goal, which is essentially obtained through subscription to the new slate of books, and the campaign runs until May 11th.
- Combed Clap of Thunder by Zach Hazard Vaupen
- Steam Clean by Laura Ķeniņš
- How To Be Alive by Tara Booth
- Iceland by Yuichi Yokoyama

Here’s a look at just a few of the books included in the campaign:
Retrofit/Big Planet have already planned the release schedule for the books once they are funded. The books will be paired and sent off as they are ready.
The schedule is:
