Top Shelf has announced some new books for September 2017, among them Roots by Tara O’Connor.

Roots tells the story of a young woman who leaves North America to explore Ireland and her family’s ancestry. Once there, however, things head in unexpected directions, particularly in her interest in John, a cartoonist she meets online. Autobiographically telling real family history and personal history from O’Connor, and evoking the Irish countryside, this book is a “romantic-comedy adventure” about a young woman making her own voyage of discovery.
