Fresh off the success of his GWAR comic from Dynamite–which itself started life as a Kickstarter campaign–comes a new crowdfunding campaign from Matt Miner, who teams up on this venture with Eric Palicki in the hope of publishing a 160 page B+W horror anthology, This Nightmare Kills Fascists. From the title you may not be too surprised to find that this anthology will focus its stories on the state of international politics as the creators see it. From where I’m standing, that should be a goldmine from which to extract some truly horrific tales.
For example, Justin Jordan (Spread, Luther Strode) announced that his “story is called ‘Thermonuclear Hunger Strike,’ about a man out to eat the president who caused a nuclear war,” providing just one example of the content readers can expect from This Nightmare Kills Fascists.
The book aims to include a number of different horror strips from many various creators and collaborators such as Tini Howard, Ariela Kristantina, Vita Ayala, John Bivens, Christian DiBari, Christopher Sebela, Erica Schultz, Ryan Ferrier, Kelly Williams, Fabian Lelay, KatyRex, and others.
And, as with all Kickstarter campaigns, the more you want to pledge the more you get. They’re looking to raise $20,000 and, as time of writing, they’ve already hit over half of that, with just under two weeks left.
For $15 you’ll get a digital copy of the books, while the $100 pledges will get you a sketch form your favourite artist working on the book. But, rather than spell it out for you, why not take a look at nightmarekickstarter.com
