Titan Reveal A Robotech Variant for SDCC ’17

Rachel Stott variant for SDCC

Titan Comics and Harmony Gold will be publishing a new Robotech comic this summer and it’ll be debuting at this year’s San Diego Comic Con where any attendees will be able to grab their special convention variant from UK artist, Rachel Stott (Dr Who, Sex Criminals).
Those of us old enough to remember may well know that back in 1985 Robotech was an 85 episode long cartoon series that, for many US viewers, was their gateway drug into anime. Heck, you can remind yourselves of the opening credit sequence right here and be immediately transported back to your childhood in a moment. For the uninitiated; it’s aliens vs Earth focusing on the Robotech guys and gals and their robotech, of course, protecting us.
Robotech No.1 is obviously an up to date reimagining of this much loved series written by Brian Woods with art by Marco Turini which is accessible to older fans and new readers, like myself, who never saw Robotech over here in Blighty, even though we did get Battle of The Planets.
This special edition is available to purchase at the Titan booth #5537 at San Diego Comic-Con 2017. And, Robotech fans will also have the opportunity to meet Harmony Gold’s Tommy Yune there too, who will be signing copies of his special Blue Line Veritech Sketch Variant on Saturday July 22, 2017 at 1pm.
And, beyond SDCC, there are a whole slew of variants to look out for too, all of which you can feast your eyes on below, including covers by Artgerm, Karl Kerschl and a cosplay variant too.
Happy hunting!
