It’s Jackson Robert Scott To Join Locke And Key Family
by Erik Amaya
Young actor Jackson Robert Scott is moving from Derry to Lovecraft.
Deadline reports that Scott will play Bode Locke in the upcoming Hulu adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s Locke and Key. He joins Frances O’Connor as members of the Locke Family. Following the death of her husband, Nina Locke (O’Connor) moves her family to her his ancestral New England home. There, Bode finds the house has a magic to it, accessed by keys and doorways offering strange and wondrous powers. He also eventually discovers the demonic force interested in unlocking all of the magical doors.
The pilot will reunite Scott with It director Andy Muschietti, who took the job after Doctor Strange‘s Scott Derrickson left due to scheduling conflicts.
This will be the second attempt to bring the world of Locke and Key to the screen. A previous attempt, staring The Lord of the Rings‘ Miranda Otto as Nina, Sarah Bolger as her daughter Kinsey, Jesse McCartney as older son Tyler and Nick Stahl as older son Uncle Duncan, resulted in a 2010 pilot for FOX. The network ultimately passed on the series, but the pilot haunts the doorways of the internet. Should Hulu pick up this version, Lost‘s Carlton Cuse will also serve as showrunner; which makes this a truly exciting prospect.
