This Is How Many Tissues I Used During Season 2 Ep. 4 Of This Is Us

The drama continues as we move to the fourth episode of This is Us on NBC. As always, the show impresses with it’s heartfelt stories and in last weeks episode we tackled racism, prescription drugs, and the chicken pox! Quite the mixture, huh?
[WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THIS IS US 2.4 BELOW!]

I think one of the things that I admire most about this show is the fact that they aren’t afraid to tackle tough issues. In this episode, Rebecca’s mother comes to visit while the children have chicken pox. Oh, and it all happens during a snow storm! Let’s just put it this way…Rebecca’s mother excludes Randall and makes a ton of passive aggressive comments until Rebecca just can’t take it anymore. It was another one of those great moments seeing Rebecca take charge of her family.
In present day, Kevin is trying to recover without taking pain medication to stay on track with his film and Toby doesn’t like it. Through these scenes, we really get to see where the passion comes from with Kevin and acting. I think it’s great how much they’ve developed his character this season. There’s a lot to him…a lot more than meets the eye.

The tough stuff continues with Randall’s family making for some emotional scenes. I like how the dynamic has changed in their house though. It’s interesting watching Randall and Beth come together to make things work.

So, for me, the most exciting moment of the whole episode was definitely the last one. The entire episode we could see that something was going on with Kate, but it was hard to figure out just what. Luckily, we got the answer during the very last moment.

Kate is pregnant! I can’t even begin to express how excited I am for her character. I can’t wait to see how things will unfold in the next episode. Five out of five tissues for last week’s episode!
