Twilight Of The Gods: Preview Walt Simonson’s Ragnarök: Last God Standing TPB

In the week that sees the release of Marvel Studios Thor: Ragnarok in the UK, it seems IDW have made a wise choice in releasing the first 6 issues of Walter Simonson’s Ragnarök: Last God Standing as a collected trade paperback. Simonson is a master of the art as well as Norse mythology, having made a name for himself back in the 80’s on some title or other owned by Marvel. The name escapes me at the moment, though.

Legendary creator Walter Simonson returns to Norse mythology with this epic tale. Ragnarök… the Twilight of the God… the destruction of the Nine Worlds. And now, three hundred years later, the birth of vengeance. Collects issues #1-6.

Still, to paraphrase Percy Bysshe Shelley’s much quotes poem, Ozymandias, stare on Simonson’s mighty works and…well, maybe considering picking up a copy, as I will be doing, this Wednesday, the 25th of October, from your LCBS, or online.
