While Avengers: Infinity War is still six months in the distance, people are already excited about the Avengers project after the 2018 film. In a feature story for the new issue of Vanity Fair, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige offered a few details about the nature of the fourth Avengers outing; suggesting that it will change the face of Marvel movies following it.
“[It] bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale,” he told the magazine. “There will be two distinct periods. Everything before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting.”
The post-Avengers 4 schedule for Marvel Studios includes sequels for Spider-Man: Homecoming and Guardians of the Galaxy, but little else has been confirmed. According to Feige, the studio has an a plan for twenty more films after the Avengers 4 release. It is said the films may follow the Guardians out into space and put a greater emphasis on Marvel’s cosmic characters. So maybe fans of Nova will finally get their day.
Meanwhile, the new issue of Vanity Fair features a number of wonderful photos of the Avengers: Infinity War cast like this one:

It also confirms the presence of The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) in the film and Rhodey (Don Cheadle) as War Machine. Between them, all of the Avengers still on US soil, Team Cap, the Guardians, Ant-Man, Valkyrie, Spider-Man and a few special appearances, this film looks to be stuffed to the gills. Will there be any time left to introduce Captain Marvel?
Avengers: Infinity War opens on May 4th, 2018.
