Barry Learns Prison Rules While Ralph Steps Up In Next Week’s Episode Of The Flash

The Trial of Barry Allen was laughable. But it was also a necessary bit of procedure to get the characters where they need to be for the coming story. In fact, the nakedness of this led to silly things like Barry (Grant Gustin) talking Iris (Candice Patton) out of revealing his secret identity in open court. But now that Barry is locked up in Iron Heights for the rest of his natural life — snicker — Team Flash is without its Flash. And since Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) is immigrating to Legends of Tomorrow, someone has to step up. And according to this preview of next week’s episode, that someone is Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer).
Considering the best scene in this week’s episode was Ralph suggesting to Joe (Jesse L. Martin) that planting evidence is bad idea, I’m ready to see Ralph and Sawyer take a lead position on the show. But considering he’s still a very green hero, I expect things to go poorly for him. But maybe Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will see fit to give him a proper Elongated Man costume by the end.
Also, it looks like Barry with have to deal with some prison toughs, but since his storyline is pretty weak at the moment, we’ll just ignore it.
