Now that the two teams are permanently separated, there are a few openings on Team Arrow. And if this preview of next week’s episode is any indication, Thea (Willa Holland) may be taking one of the spots.
Of course, only Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) could get her out of retirement. He’s been kidnapped by Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo), who is continuing his own campaign to discredit and destroy Oliver (Stephen Amell). But was breaking the team in two part of his plan or Cayden’s? And what’s his beef with Ollie? Is he just another crime boss looking to make Star City his domain or is there some interesting wrinkle to it?
To be honest, the season started so strong, but it’s spinning off the rails at this point. As much as I once liked Rene (Rick Gonzalez), I’m ready for his recovery to be a permanent leave. Also, trading villains, but keeping the same plot going seems like a mistake. Maybe the show will turn things around, but it all seems a little tired.
