by James Ferguson

Image Comics and Giant Generator have announced three new deluxe hardcovers that will look great on any bookshelf.  New editions of Black Science, Low, and Tokyo Ghost are set to arrive in May 2018. All three titles are written by Rick Remender. They’re illustrated by Matteo Scalera, Greg Tocchini, and Sean Gordon Murphy, respectively.

Writer Rick Remender says:

Giant Generator is a studio specializing in the development of unique and top flight comic books co-created with passion in partnership with the best artists in the world. Continued sell outs of our line of oversized hardcovers is a testament to the love each art team has dumped into their work, work that deserves to be printed in this prestige format to be enjoyed by fans of true craft who want to support creators’ endeavors to develop their own original ideas.

The Black Science Premiere Volume 1 hardcover is back by popular demand in a new remastered edition collecting the first three story arcs of the stellar sci-fi series. That’s 16 issues altogether plus sketches, concept art, and never-before-seen material.  It will be available on Wednesday, May 16th at comic shops and on Tuesday, May 22nd at bookstores and Amazon.

The Low: Book One hardcover collects the first 15 issues of the aquatic fantasy series searching for hope at the end of the world. It will also include concept art, design sketches, original script, and more. It will be available on Wednesday, May 23rd at comic book shops and on Tuesday, May 29th at bookstores and Amazon.
Last, but not least is the Tokyo Ghost Deluxe hardcover, collecting the complete ten issue run of the series. As with the other two hardcovers, this one will feature extra content, variants, designs, sketches, and bonus materials. It will be available on Wednesday, May 23rd at comic book shops and on Tuesday, May 29th at bookstores and Amazon.
If you haven’t read these series yet, these new deluxe hardcovers are an excellent and beautiful way to try them out. They’re all solid series that are definitely worth your attention. It’s tough to pick a favorite among them.
