Stand Out Games From PAX East 2018, Part 2
by Tito W. James
My list of stand out games from PAX East continues. Don’t miss the games from PART 1.
Qinoto is a paper-folding puzzle game, inspired by MAD Fold-Ins, that utilizes multi-touch to deliver a unique gameplay experience, where you can fold the game world like paper to reveal new objects and patterns hidden in the scenes.
TUNIC is an action adventure game about a tiny fox in a big world. Explore the wilderness, discover spooky ruins, and fight terrible creatures from long ago. The low-poly art and bright colors create a charming gaming world.
Night In The Woods has gotten a lot of attention in the gaming community for good reason. I played it for ten minutes and was sucked into its world in under ten seconds. It’s a beautiful example of story meeting design, and elicits emotions in ways only games can.
Flipping Death combines elements from platformers and adventure games. In a world where Death is on vacation, you play as ghost that can possess the living to help other ghosts with their strange problems.
