The Countdown To The Enlightenment Begins In A Preview Of Next Week’s The Flash

Despite losing Marlize (Kim Engelbrecht) last week, DeVoe (Neil Sandilands) is ready to enact his Enlightenment upon the world. And as seen in this preview of next week’s episode of The Flash, Barry (Grant Gustin) will have to teach Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) how to operate in Flashtime as part of their plan to stop The Thinker.
And though the preview focuses on the oldest members of Team Flash, I imagine Iris (Candice Patton) will also be called into service before the end. As this week’s episode kept pointing out, DeVoe’s greatest weakness is his isolation. Losing Marlize shut him down entirely and left him vulnerable to Iris’s article.
Although, that can be seen as a stalling technique as The Flash still has two episodes to go. At the same time, the team dynamic has remained the show’s one strong element in a season of bad plotting. Maybe it will be the way to stop DeVoe in the end as well.
