With Iron Fist nearly completing its second season production, word comes that two more castmembers have joined Marvel and Netflix’s The Punisher.
Deadline reports Smallville‘s Annette O’Toole and American Gods‘ Corbin Bernsen will appear in Frank Castle’s (Jon Bernthal) part of New York in the program’s second year. The duo will play the husband and wife team of Anderson and Eliza Shultz. Described as “an extremely wealthy man who’s grown accustomed to getting his way,” Anderson will break the law to see his ends met. Eliza, meanwhile is described as both “conniving” and “manipulative,” which suggests the copywriters need to find a new way to describe a powerful woman. Neither character appears to be based on a Marvel Comics character, but character descriptions can always be deceiving.
The second season will see Frank continuing to battle his war wounds while facing off against people like the Shultzes and his old nemesis Jigsaw (Ben Barnes). Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, and Giorgia Whigham will also join the show in year two, while Amber Rose Revah, and Jason R. Moore are slated to return.
The Punisher returns sometime in 2019.
