The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Trailer Unveils A Brick-pocalypse And A Space Themed Mission

Warner Bros. Pictures has released a trailer for the upcoming The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. In it, we learn Bricksburgh has been destroyed and its citizens live in a post-apocalyptic hellscape suspiciously reminiscent of Mad Max: Fury Road. Not that any of the city’s misfortunes have dampened Emmet’s (Chris Pratt) spirits. Still a fount of optimism, he continues to bound through his days as though nothing as happened. That is until a DUPLO space probe identifies him, Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) and Unikitty (Alison Brie). Soon, an alien is out to collect the town’s leaders, leaving Emmett behind as she takes Lucy, Unikitty, Benny (Charlie Day), and LEGO Batman (Will Arnett) to her home star system. It’ll be up to Emmet to find the others — or just bumble around until Lucy figures out what to do.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part opens on February 8th, 2019.
