Marvel Comics Teases More Infinity Warps
by James Ferguson
Spinning out of Infinity Wars, Marvel Comics is mixing things up quite a bit with “Infinity Warps”. Little is known about these mash-up characters, but they do look pretty awesome. All three will be first appearing in Infinity Wars #3, followed by solo two-issue mini-series in October and November.
First up, we have Weapon Hex, a cross between X-23 and Scarlet Witch. Infinity Wars: Weapon Hex is written by Ben Acker & Ben Blacker and illustrated by Gerardo Sandoval, with a cover by Humberto Ramos.
Next we’ve got Arachknight, a mash-up of the Scarlet Spider and Moon Knight. Infinity Wars: Arachknight is written by Max Bemis, with a cover by Humberto Ramos. No interior artist has been announced at this time.
Finally, there’s Ghost Panther. This one’s pretty obvious as it’s a mix of Ghost Rider and Black Panther. Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther has no creative team announced at this time. It will feature a cover by Humberto Ramos.
Weapon Hex, Arachknight, and Ghost Panther join two more Infinity Warps characters that were already announced, Soldier Supreme and Iron Hammer.
As a ‘90s kid, these have an Amalgam Comics feel to them and I absolutely love that. Infinity Wars wasn’t on my radar much, but now I’m very much interested in this event.
