by James Ferguson

If you’re still making your plans for San Diego Comic Con, Zenescope Entertainment has a few things you may want to check out. The publisher will be celebrating its 10th year at the convention. This time they can be found at booth #2301 just outside Hall C. Look out for over 15 different convention exclusive covers plus limited edition collectible merchandise like metal prints, trading cards, puzzles, gallery edition comic books, and more.

Zenescope creators will be on hand for signings throughout the convention. These include Joe Brusha, Ralph Tedesco, LaToya Morgan, Dave Franchini, and Victoria Rau. On Saturday, July 21st, Zenescope will be celebrating “Christmas in July” with special edition holiday ornaments featuring artwork by J. Scott Campbell.

A unique feature this year will be three new original gelato flavors from Gelato Paradiso based on the publisher’s characters offered throughout the weekend. Flavors include Krampus Cookie Crunch, Mad Hatter Mash-Up, and Skye Mathers Sorbetto. These will be offered at Gelato Pardiso at 789 W Harbor Drive, which is a 10 minute walk northwest of the San Diego Convention Center.
Customers who buy any Zenescope themed gelato will be eligible to purchase a rare SDCC Zenescope metal card limited to 50 copies, while supplies last.

Finally, Zenescope will be hosting a panel on Thursday July 19th called Not Just a Pretty Face – Women in Comics held in Panel Room 4 at 7:30 PM. LaToya Morgan, Victoria Rau, Sam Sawyer, Jen King, cosplayer Fatal Siren, and Zenescope co-founder Ralph Tedesco will appear on the panel to delve into the world of comics through the eyes of female creators.
