Grimm’s Elizabeth Tulloch To Play Arrowverse’s Lois Lane
by Erik Amaya
A new TV Lois Lane has been chosen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grimm veteran Elizabeth Tulloch will play the ace Daily Planet reporter in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover. As previously reported, the event will span three of the five CW superhero shows — Supergirl, The Flash, and Arrow — and introduce Ruby Rose as Batwoman.
Joining Tulloch will be Tyler Hoechlin, reprising his role as Clark Kent and Superman from the second season of Supergirl. How the famous couple will factor into the storyline, which will also introduce Gotham City into the Arrowverse, remains to be seen. As the crossover will also set up an upcoming Batwoman television series, it is possible Lois and Clark will serve as guides to the new vision of the famed burg as they investigate the new cowled vigilante. Of course, that assumes Batwoman and most of the crossover will take place on Supergirl’s (Melissa Benoist) Earth-38 as opposed to the Earth-1 of The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.
Legends is sitting this story out; in part because the huge cast of last year’s Crisis on Earth-X made it difficult to feature all of the characters. But considering that team’s current situation, sending them to an alternate Earth may not work with their upcoming story.
Either way, the Arrowverse crossovers are a highlight of the Fall television season and this one looks to be quite good. The festivities begin on December 9th.
