Marvel’s first-ever scripted podcast, Wolverine: The Long Night, was previously only available as an exclusive, but now has been released widely via Stitcher to multiple platforms, where the first two episodes are now available and the rest of the 10 episodes will be released weekly.
Wolverine: The Long Night is described as “a hybrid of mystery and the larger-scale fantasy of the Marvel Universe”, and has a distinctive noir flavor, as well as a little bit of an X-Files vibe, set in Alaska.
The show stars Celia Keenan-Bolger and Ato Essandoh as Agents Pierce and Marshall, with Richard Armitage as Wolverine. The show’s cast also includes notable actors Scott Adsit (“30 Rock”), Bob Balaban (“Moonrise Kingdom”) and Brian Stokes Mitchell (“Mr. Robot”).
Wolverine: The Long Night was written by award-winning comic book author Ben Percy (“The Dark Net,” “Red Moon”) and directed by Brendan Baker (formerly a producer for Radiotopia’s “Love & Radio”) with sound design by Chloe Prasinos (formerly a producer for Gimlet’s “Reply All”). The series is produced by Daniel Fink of Marvel and Jenny Radelet of Stitcher.
