The second season of Syfy’s Happy! will get an injection of wrestling energy as The Wrap reports WWE’s Big Show (Paul Wight) will join the cast.
The series, based on the comic book by Grant Morrison and Darrick Robertson, tells the tale of a reprobate ex-cop turned hitman who must aid a little girl’s imaginary friend, the eponymous Happy, in saving her from some very bad men. The book ends rather definitively, but the television show found a new avenue for Nic Sax (Christopher Meloni) and Happy (Patton Oswalt) to continue the mayhem.
On the series, Wight will play Big Pink, a fellow inmate with Mr. Blue (Ritchie Coaster).
It is still unclear when the series will return, but if casting is ramping up now, do not expect it before the new year. Season 1 of the series debuted in December of last year as it was thematically appropriate to the story and fit in well with the cable channel’s plans. In 2019, Happy! will be joined by Deadly Class as another comic-to-TV production on Syfy.
