Ann-Marget Set To Join Happy! Cast
by Erik Amaya
Happy!‘s second season is about to get a bit of classic Hollywood in its midst.
Deadline reports legendary film star Ann-Margret will recur on the Syfy series as Bebe Debarge, a “former siren of stage and screen.” What her role will be in Nic (Christopher Meloni) and Happy’s (Patton Oswalt) latest adventure remains to be seen. But considering the way this show works, you can expect Ann-Margret to play an inversion of her screen persona. Then again, the show may surprise us and unveil a less corrupted character.
I mean, it’s unlikely, but the show has to keep defying expectations, even its own.
Meanwhile, Christopher Fitzgerald is set to return as the seriously creepy children’s entertainer Sonny and Bryce Lorenzo will also return as Nic’s daughter Hailey. Though, the site warns the latter character will face a new threat “from within.” Considering the show is building a new story beyond the graphic novel by Grant Morrison and Darrick Robertson, it is easy to think Happy will sense some growing trouble with Hailey and enlist Nic once again for help. How that leads to the sort of anarchy depicted in the first season is anyone’s guess.
Happy! returns to Syfy in 2019.
