NYCC 2018: Hey Browncoats! Want To Name The Firefly Letters Column?
by James Ferguson
As announced during the Boom! Studios Discover Yours panel at New York Comic Con, the publisher is launching the first-ever Firefly comic book letter column in Firefly #1 this November. To be a part of it, be sure to send your emails with questions or comments about the wide world of Firefly to whedonverse@boom-studios.com with the words “okay to print” in the body. Letters received by October 15th will not only have a chance to get into the column, but also the opportunity to name it.
The reader with the winning name will not only be immortalized in Browncoat history, but they’ll win a full set of all eight covers to Firefly #1 and all the standard variant covers for the next three issues. If your email comes in after 10/15, it will be considered for future issues of Firefly, just not the first one.
Jeanine Schaefer, Executive Editor, BOOM! Studios says:
Firefly is a world that has endured because it has some of the most passionate fans in the world, and we want to make sure they have a chance to officially contribute to continuation of that incredible mythology. We want to hear directly from you about why you’ve chosen this as your fandom, what you’re looking forward to, what your hopes are for the series, pictures of any cats or other pets named after characters (but mostly cats), etc. This is your space, and we can’t wait to hear from you!
Look for Firefly #1 at your local comic shop on November 14th, 2018.
