Marvel Unveils A Slew of Uncanny X-Men Variant Covers

Uncanny X-Men returns as a new ongoing series in November and Marvel Comics is pumping out a bunch of variant covers for the return of the top tier X-title. We’ve got new ones from Jim Cheung, Joe Quesada, Rob Liefeld, and a Hidden Gem cover by Dave Cockrum. It’s clear Marvel is putting a lot behind this relaunch.


The new series, written by Kelly Thompson, Ed Brisson, and Matthew Rosenberg and illustrated by Mahmud Asrar, Mark Bagley, and Mirko Colak, brings together nearly ever mutant left on earth in a story that threatens to destroy them. We’re looking at an epic tale of mystery and tragic disappearance.  Marvel says this could by the X-Men’s final mission…which would be unfortunate as they’re just relaunching this title.
